The Celestial Opera Company, located in South Pasadena, is currently accepting resume submissions for its next production of Suor Angelica/Gianni Schicchi (double bill).
Gianni Schicchi and Suor Angelica will be performed in Italian with piano (possible addition of a chamber orchestra). Performance dates and location are TBD). Principal roles will be double cast. Rehearsals will take place primarily on weekends, with some mid-week rehearsals.Please submit your requests via email to info@celestailoperacompany.org
For those individuals who auditioned over the summer of 2009, your auditions will be taken into consideration during the casting process. We will be in touch regarding casting after next series of auditions has commenced. We thank you for your patience.

An accompanist will be provided. Should you wish to use our accompanist, there will be a fee of $20 payable either by check (made out to The Celestial Opera Company) or in cash (exact change only).
Founded in 1998 by opera singer and voice teacher Judith Townsend, The Celestial Opera Company provides an educational environment for students and emerging professional singers, a venue for professional singers and an opportunity for the local community to participate in the production and enjoyment of opera.
Join Our Chorus No prior vocal study or choral experience is required, just a love of music, a positive attitude and a desire to participate. There is a small fee of $75 for participation. Those choristers who have six years of vocal study and the experience of singing in at least three opera productions as a chorister or lead will have their fee waived.
We ask that all new ensemble members have a short audition for the purpose of voice placement, which we will arrange on an individual basis.
